I don`t either but you been struggling with this for six months...
I've already tried a different nut and at first it seemed to have sorted it but not so.Im gonna drop it to Harley and have them remove it and re seat it.

So the dealer installed it? If so you checked all the other mounting points?
I always use anti seize. Never had them loosen up . I check them frequently, every 1k or so.
I always tighten down the pipes to the head first.if a gap is created on the lower mount, I shim accordingly. Do you have the correct gaskets ?
Some brands do not take the stock tapered ones and take the flat ones.

There was a gap at the frame bracket for sure when torqueing the flange nuts first.Surely this could be a factor?
I got replacement gaskets from Harley before I installed it.Theyre the biggest PITA gaskets I've ever used thused. They're such a tight fit
"There was a gap at the frame bracket for sure when torqueing the flange nuts first.Surely this could be a factor?"
From my post: "If the pipes don't have adequate support between the head and the trans area, they will come loose,"

What I was alluding too. Just trying to help.
Here's a screenshot of a YouTube vid(after mich digging late last night(early this morning). It shows 2 spacers spacing out the support bracket even more than my set up(my set up doesnt have those 2 round spacers as in the YTscreenshots uploaded here.
If you follow the vance and hines instructions it doesn't reference this. The kit did come with a 'spacer' bracket which is placed between the frame and the support bracket but in the YT screenshot they have it spaced out even more and I think this is what I need to do.
So my bike had a gap in the blue region which closed when the 4 bolts were tightened but this gap and closing of the gap could be 'pulling' the head pipe from the ex ports over time thus causing the flange nuts to loosen.

I have a 2008 Sportster here and experienced the same thing with the header flange nuts coming loose. I put it down to the fact the studs are very clean with no corrosion. I just kept on checking them. After a while they stopped coming loose.

Worth a try, if it looks straight viewing from the back of the bike, then you can assume there is no or little pressure.
