Default Problems with Lighting

Hello everyone,

I have been away from the forum for a few months due to being busy.

I have ran into an issue with the lighting on my bike and am looking for suggestions. I currently have Moons MC blinkers, tail light, tail light bezel, and headlight bucket. The headlight is a Harley daymaker and it’s great. But the Moons MC stuff seems to be junk and has given me problems since the start. Now my bike is consistently throwing a code for the front blinkers and won’t reset even after having the bike programmed for LEDs.

I want to replace all the lights for the fourth time (can’t seem to get this right) and need suggestions. It seems like most of the aftermarket lights are complete junk.

I need suggestions on front and rear turn signals but want them to operate as running lights in the front along with blinkers and running lights, brake light, and signals in the back. That’s how it’s setup now using a module but would like to forego the module going forward.

Lastly I need a headlight bucket that will work with a ‘21 FXLRS that is good quality. I used two so far and they are complete trash and didn’t even hold the light right. Had to use foam to make them work.

The bucket would need to also fit with a Memphis Shades fairing. An OEM Harley bucket would be great if there are any that fit.

And the only lights I’m looking at now Eagle lights which appear nice but don’t know anything else.

Any help is appreciated.

Weird. Been running a moons MC bucket with a fly eye for 3 years, and recently switched to the updated v2. Bucket is good quality and fits the light perfectly. It did rub my old Memphis shades road warrior but it’s not noticeable unless my fairing is off.

not sure about their turn signals as I went with rogue rider industries for all that. There should not be any programming that needs to be done with these products it’s all plug and play. The RRI are running lights (white) and flash amber for turn signals.

my brake light is a moons as well, with integrated turn signals

Sounds like you have basically the same setup as me. I still have my old RRI turn signal so might try those. Also are you running a module to make the turn signals running lights? And the rears brake light too?

I have an Eagle strobing tail light. It did not feel cheap and the install was a breeze. I went with Eagle lights for their lifetime warranty, and have read many good things about them. I also have cheapo front LED turn signal because I broke one due to the wire being old and fell apart. The cheapo amazon blinkers are not as bright as OEM(not a huge difference), but do the job for a fraction of the cost.

I would look at either Eagle lights or Custom Dynamics. I have heard 50/50 reviews on Hogworkz stuff.

I might be misunderstanding but your front turn signals are always on as running lights? And your rear turn signals are always on as running lights along with being extra brake lights?
