I didn't take the bag into the restaurant. I took the latch in and fixed it, then went out and put back on. Wasn't a big deal and it's been fine ever since. Maybe it will leak someday, but so far it hasn't, and we've been in some pretty big rainstorms.

I wasn't suggesting that YOU were looking for something to complain about, WTF!!

Here's a nice Honda hatchback for sale. Plenty of room for wife's luggage.

Why does this forum seem to have a disproportionate number of people who act butt-hurt when someone disagrees with them?

Tantrums and tiaras. You learn who throws them, who wears them, and then adjust accordingly.
No lack of the same stuff on that "other" forum. Go ahead and suggest a different way of turning a bike than countersteering it, or that track racing doesn't make you the best bike rider to ever exist.

WTF!!!!! Oh and give it time they will leak right around that lock mechanism, every one I know who has came to my shop has bitched about it, might take time but they will leak, I tell them to come on here & look up the "plugs" the one poster listed that goes over the Lock to prevent the water puddling & leaking.

Tmac00333 - Throw a bag on the sissy bar...... guess you dont tour with wife? Yes I tour on a Heritage & for a hot minute - if everyone remembers HD listed the Heritage in the touring section

If you ride alone & carry very little then the Heritage bags will be fine but honestly the older style bags (not my favorites) hold more, will last longer & fit the nostalgia of what the Heritage line was meant to look like. Now I am starting to like what I see in the 25 Heritage with the tube less rims - (guys bitched about the spokes cause they feared long rides/tours & possible flats but a saddlebag that a gerbil will fill is ok???

The 25 Heritage will need all the upgrades the previous version needed other than the shock - maybe??? The seat sucks & passenger pillion is a pancake of steel that will cause an azz to throb after 10 minutes of riding, The bags......... enough said about those, the exhaust im not sure about? overall I like the changes but the bags, seat & that god awful tank badge would be removed & discarded. JMHO
I've rode several weekend trips on mine have no problems with the stock seat and my wife doesn't either. Like I said before the bags are a perfect size for me . The only other bike I had with bags was a Dyna and they were very small. After finally getting used to the high frequency vibration the Heritage is about perfect . It has more leg room than most of the baggers and can cruise all day long at 80-90 MPH . I'm used to bikes with minimal storage so what the Heritage offers is way more than enough for me .

This is forum/comment section denizens as a whole.
And it's largely because you cant get popped in the mouth for shooting off some **** you wouldnt say in person.

This forum isn't too bad, it's mostly the people who "boohoo harley didnt do what I want" kind of stuff, but people usually warm up to it.
I remember when the M8 fat boy first came out and I was "ew wtf is that head lamp" and well... Now you see I own one, lol.
There's been very few people here I have found to be genuinely distasteful and unwilling to interact with them. There have definitely been forums I have been on where the user base is so abrasive and ******* filled that I'd rather just go anywhere else. Places where even the mod team cant see they've got their heads so far up their *** they dont even smell **** anymore.
HDF is pretty meh.

You wanna see some real butt hurt over disagreement? I've been in many motorcycle communities online where the mere mention of a harley seems to ruin someone's fragile ****ing day like oh god how dare I mention a motorcycle brand! As if Willie G himself kicked their dog. Like yall its a ****in motorcycle, calm the **** down.
You wont believe the sheer amount of stupids out there I have had the unfortunate problem of having to interact with them, who genuinely think every single harley ever costs $50K and breaks down after 10miles.

This forum is pretty tame in most regards.

A good dose of perspective is always welcome.

Yea, you're right. Perspective and all that. It's also hard to read tone and inflection thru typed word. Much easier to hear in person. I've done this a few times on the FFR forum with my Cobra build.

Misinterpreted keyboard commandos have started many electronic pissing matches this way, and I'm not an exception. Sometimes my fingers don't "say" the words the same way my inner monologue hears them.

My bad 702 - I guess maybe the way I wrote it out in the post seemed a little harsh.

Why that's a cute lil thing - but I saw an electric bike with a complimentary backpack that would suit the needs of someone like yourself that just wants to ride & can't understand about touring on a heritage. usually Momma & I go on multi day trips 4-5 or more days - we got the packing down pretty good and ill tell ya I use every bit of space I have which the new Heritage bags just dont cut it, anyone whos been 6-800 miles away from home knows weather can change quickly, better to have it than not & I just couldnt carry enough in the new heritage bags to find them useful.

Razorback - I hear ya & for a week end trip with ideal weather conditions it would be good for that but as I mentioned above & its just a personal preference thing Id have to change a few things to meet my needs. I did visit my local dealer in Beaverfalls & they have the Iron horse metallic with cast wheels - in person thats a nice looking machine - even the tank badge doesnt seem out of place. Looking over the bike with a more critical eye - its not bad, id still have to "tour" it up Lol, says it averages 47 MPG anyone know if thats true?

Any way - different strokes for different folks - gotta keep what I got for a while. But............... I am coming around to liking just wish the accessories would catch up!
