What exhaust do you have on the bike now? I just went through this with a set of Vance & Hines Short Shots after installing DK Thunder Torque Inserts in them; I couldn't stand the sound and was considering new pipes. I decided to take the chance and install the Super Q Quiet Baffles that Vance & Hines makes, and it's EXACTLY what I wanted. I got all my low-end torque back, and the annoying flutter the TTIs produced is gone, replaced by an awesome deep rumble. Bike now sounds just how I want it to.
its an SPB fab 2 into 1 but it doesnt have stepped headers or anything that tunes an exhaust. I could make up some sort of baffle but I feel like itll never be as good as it could be.
The thunder torque inserts worked REALLY well for torque but the flutter sound.. I couldnt take it.
So anybody looking for an actual performance built 2 into 1 exhaust, look at the SP concepts big bore. I can ride my bike around at 1800 rpm if I want to now. The reversion is gone, the low rpm studder is also gone.
the muffler baffle is rifled so Im guessing that helps with the velocity. Its got an anti reversion chamber in the muffler and also those pro flo expansion chambers.
it sounds mean. Deep tone like a rinehart and has all the power down low and up high.
best performance mod Ive done to the bike.
