I don't care what the manual says. Hook up your laptop to the SE tuner, and monitor the bike data. You will see then that there is an "engine temp" and "coolant temp". The engine temp is the one that matches the readout on the bike. If the coolant was getting to 280 degrees, it would be cooking out of the bike. Look at the symbol on your picture, vs the symbol on the bike. The picture shows a water symbol, the other pictures in this thread show an engine symbol...
only other pic of Ride Info I see on this thread is from a Canadian bike with Celsius reading
the Home Screen on the bike states the same thermometer indicator as coolant temp as in the ride info pic..anyway, the manufacturer appears to be under the impression these are to display coolant temps and potential alerts for problems with them
24 Road Glide, my temp was running hot.. 240-300 😳.
Took it in as the code said bad water pump relay. They couldn't replicate. But they had updated The software and it seemed to be fine...kept bike for 9 days!!! Ok, all good until yesterday started high temps again...but no codes. I can manually turn on fan and it runs. As the wet head is really an additional thing to try and save the exhaust valves, I am going to ride it until I can schedule it in for service...2 weeks out.
Have updated software hoping it would help...no joy.
Beyound that the bike it absolutely great, run strong and smooth. Enjoy the screen and carplay.
I'm currently having the same issue, engine is overheating and dealer can't seem to find out why, no coolant leak, I hear the fan running, first time its was a cool 50 degree evening in no traffic city speeds, its been getting worse and at one point got to 307 degrees (I found temp widget under sport screen) I dropped it off at dealer again, they have it but say they have to order a new radiator pressure cap in order to proceed ( I told them they have a whole showroom floor full of them, they declined to take my advice and had to order one) I wont even get any further diagnosis till after Christmas.

wonder if that yellow triangle is a fault error alert for the overheating..I get one randomly, which my understanding is can be for many different issues..vever leaves a code or causes any issues so I justt ride..dealer doesn't know why it does that but I have never overheated..stupid question, have you checked the fluid level in your coolant reservoir?

I wonder if its hydro locked, air in the system. Part of the diagnosis in the service manual is to check the caps pressure capability. If it fails, air may get in the system.
You never mentioned whether or not the dealer checked the coolant pump operation.
It's electrically operated and can fail. Just because the fan is running doesn't mean that the pump is running. One of the guys with a 24 Road Glide in our HOG club had his pump die on him last summer. The symptom was that the bike ran really hot.
I've got a 2024 CVO Street Glide. On the screen there's a ride Info section. In that section there is a picture of an engine coupled with a thermometer, Does anyone if this is Oil temperature, Water temperature, actual engine Temperature? And where is the sensor located at.

Thanks.
It is the radiator coolant temp. It is in your owners manual.
