My apologies for asking what might be a stupid question but after looking it up in the OM, I still cant figure out how to manually enable/disable the EITMS system. The OM makes a reference to the Information screen but I cant seem to find that, either. Can anyone clue me in or show me what I missed in the OM? Thanks!
I just got my Street Glide and have been fiddling with EITMS. Funny thing is, following the above procedure, it doesn't appear to make any difference to the idle speed. I really dislike that big-single idle sound and don't understand why it doesn't disable and idle down like my previous '22 Road King did.

There is a service bulletin out that describes this. It is a known issue. HD will have to hook up the bike and load the latest software. Even if it has the latest version, they will have to reload that same software again.
M1645: Electronic Control Module (ECM) Update to Address: Engine Idle Temperature Management System (EITMS) Not Functioning
This bulletin informs dealers that there is an Electronic Control Module (ECM) update available for the 2024 Street Glide (FLHX) and Road Glide (FLTRX). This update is to address an issue that the Engine Idle Temperature Management System (EITMS) can be turned ON but does not function as expected.
After the ECM update is completed the EITMS feature will work as intended.

there is a TSB for EITMS not activating properly..mine wasn't and I had the TSB performed and it has since activated the way its intended to and noticeable instantaneously when it does..it even briefly displays 'EITMS is Activated' on the IFCU the second it kicks in
Sweet, thanks for the quick responses fellas. I think mine is running EITMS on all the time with an idle hovering just slightly higher than 1,000 rpm. Can you guys confirm that after the update it will idle at the lower speed of 850-870 (or so) rpm?

yes, it idles higher when activated to compensate for the dropping of one cylinder then lowers when not activated..this is how EITMS has always functioned since its inception

As a follow up, I took my bike in to have the Homelink flashed and while they were at it, they updated the ECU and the BCU software. Even though my screen would flash the CC light (flashing amber=off, green=on), the reason I wasn't noticing any difference was because the cc confirmation and the message "EITMS is Enabled/Disabled", it wasn't actually being implemented by the ECU. Go figure. Now that they updated the software, it's very obvious that it's working as described. Being so new to this engine, I didn't know the regular idle hovers around 1,000 rpm. When the EITMS activates, it sounds just like a "big single" and idles at around 1,100-1,200.
