Skyline Update Technical Support
However, while they had it hooked up they also updated the BCM and ECM and enabled my garage door opener. When I got home I tried to set up my garage door opener and realized the HomeLink icon on the menu was still grayed out. As we were riding back to the dealer yesterday for them to look at it I also found that my side stand switch (previously enabled) had become disabled so the hill hold in neutral wasn’t working.
Thinking that maybe the ECM and BCM updates overwrote the side stand switch and garage door opener flashes, the dealer re-enabled them. That worked for the side stand switch but they spent a couple of hours trying to get the HomeLink to enable and never could get it. The tech said it would show enabled at first, but when he’d come back to that screen it would show disabled again. I ended up having to make an appointment for next week so they can get H-D tech support involved.
I didn’t have HomeLink enabled before the IFCU update so I don’t know if it’s related.
Anyone else have issues getting HomeLink to enable?
They said that they tried pulling the main fuse but it still wouldnt recognize the door opener module. I would assume theyd know the proper sequence, but since I wasnt standing there when they did it, I cant verify that.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I installed it, paid for the program (half hour)
never worked. grayed out from the dealer. they tried to tell me it had to be "near my garage door to work" uh huh
then when I took it back, they said I had "dislodged a pin in the bike harness" while installing it. complete BS.
I pinned it out, harness worked. told them of the "need to add the part number in the system" and they said it did not work that way and thats not an option.
after haggling we settled on an hour labor. but they knew I was not please, being the excuse and info they gave contradicted how the system work.
was thinking of getting the side stand hill hold/neutral switch, but they said it "works with the transmission to keep it held in gear with clutch out" , I lost all my faith with the new bike tech with this shop.
Went for a ride today and didn’t get any sound from the speaker’s at all on the way to my buddies house. Then the speakers worked fine on the way back.
I grabbed my USB stick when I got home and the amplifier software loaded with no issues.
I suspect of I had pulled the main fuse last night and let the whole system reboot properly, it would have worked just fine.
So: If you have an older software build and experience an issue loading the amplifier software at the end of the cycle. Pull the main fuse for a few seconds to force to computer to apply all the new software. Or wait 24 hours…
