Guys, this is a new sound to me. I have a 2025 Road Glide with 1,500 miles (1st service done). It is my third Harley, 6th (tagged bike). All my Harleys make that "thunk" on some shifts. Some times they do, sometimes they don't. Been that way since my first Harley. However, I have never heard what I hear now -
I do not ride my bike, until engine temp has hit 120*F. Yet this only happens, within the first five minutes of riding the bike. When I pull in the clutch, to shift from 1st to 2nd, there is a quiet but audible "thunk". This is BEFORE I ever move the shifter. It is not shift noise, it's the clutch BUT if I am NOT shifting into 2nd and just pulling in the clutch (while moving in 1st) to coast up to a stop sign, no noise. So it ONLY happens: (1) as I'm increasing load. And yes, I roll OFF the throttle as I pull in the clutch (2) The first 5 minutes of riding the bike

Cause for concern?
Thanks 👍
take it in under warranty, have them ride to replicate behavior while you test ride another new one to see how it compares then share observations with each other and go from there..my 24 and 25 Road Glide behave the same..with no weirdness in operation like you are trying to describe..good luck and be sure to report back here with findings

I will do that! I have to take it in, anyway, for something that might seem silly but is buggin me - My passenger pegs are loose. I hit a bump, they fall down. My Dyna had a nut and bolt and it was simple to just "snug up". I guess these have a pin through the peg, held in place with a C clip? Take the pin out and add a little "bend" to the disc inside, right? I could probably handle it but don't wanna start monkeying around with a bike that's already under warranty.

last time i checked there should be a ball and spring in there that engages in holes to snap in the up and down postions. maybe someone didnt put those in.

Im probably wrong, but I think the ball and spring is on the passenger floorboards. I think the bent washer is on the passenger pegs. Thats definitely the way it is on Thrashin passenger boards/pegs

Swamy predicts the service manager will say, they all do that. Or maybe, he may say Narfle the Garthok.
