Mud,

Your contribution to the database is much appreciated!

I have checked my 2003 models parts catalog for this p/n and found out it's the same as used on the 2006 models.

Could you be so kind to add a link to this database in the *Search Topics * How To * Hints*?!

Thanks again,

René

Considering that by the time you buy 3-4 sockets or wrenchs you could have bought a full set it looks like it would be best just to get a full set of metric tools.

Heck you can buy quite a nice set of craftsman sockets/wrenchs/allens for about $125

Default new addition

This morning when I fired up my FXD2003 to go to work, I noticed the choke/enricher knop didn't stay out and slid back, so I decided to adjust it after I came home this evening.

Doing this, I tried a 5/8 wrench which seemed to be to small so I took a 11/16 which was just a little overzised.

Trying a 17mm wrench I discovered this nut is a hex nut 17 mm, so here's a new addition to the metric sizes database.

Wondering what size nut is used on the other Dyna models/years??

If you check and let me know I'll add your info to the database as well!

Rene',

I really appreciate what you've done here, and on your other databases. I noticed some p/n?? annotations for 08 models, and thought I'd pitch in:

Jam nut on Clutch Pack (all 08 models) p/n 7848W
Rear axle (all 08 models) p/n 41114-08

Hope someone finds that useful, and thanks again!

Jeff

Rene, this data base is invaluable. I have no prejudice against metric measures- they are certainly more rational to use= but why metrics on a Harley? Anyone?
