I have a 2004 Ultra classic, still has stock radio, and speakers. I can hear the radio at 70MPH, but when 2up she cant. Im not audio guy, do I need new radio, speakers, or any other suggestion? Not looking for just blow me away loud, or excessive bass anything along those lines, just for her to be able to enjoy the tunes as well.
To go louder for 70 you'll need and amp and speakers at a minimum. Replacing the radio will have you lose intercom and cb but give you more options and a cleaner sound, you can retain hand controls with an addon module. Really comes down to budget.
Well I had the hogtunes setup for my street glide and it was way better than stock. I was into over $450 . My freeway here is 80 mph Hogtune did not putout enough sound to overcome engine/wind/road noise.
There really is only Two ways to over come this environment at over 70mph, with a speaker system,POWER if you don't want Loud or Powerful. Headphone will be the other option.
I am a Now a BT4180 Club member and even with Stock HU. I can hear music at anyspeed.
