I just ordered the hogtunes lids. Now need some info on the best 6x9s for them. Using a Rockford PBR300x4 amp to run them. Leaning to the kicker PS694 power sport speakers. How does the hogtunes 6x9 compare?
Gannicus led me to my Kicker lid speakers and I'm very happy with my 11KS69's. That said, these 11KS693's have a very good price from Sonic. I like the 11KS series as they use titanium vs. silk for their mids/tweeters. The newer speakers might sound a bit better but my thought is the 11KS series might hold up a bit better in the lid elements? Can't help much with the amp, but the Rockford is safe if you value FM radio reception. The Kicker's are pretty efficient speakers and I'm sure the sound will be MUCH improved over stock. Good luck.. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...693-KS693.html
Sell the PBR300X4 and purchase a power acoustik RZ4.2000D to run your speakers.
The X4 is underpowered to run lid speakers.
If not the kickers take a look at the Pioneer TSD6902R speakers. Both great speakers.
+1 - rip the X4 out (not enough power!), replace with RZ4 or Soundstream PN4.520. you WILL most likely lose FM (part/all, or if lucky none)
Pioneers are great speakers - also consider the JBL P963 (I just swapped the Pioneers out with the JBL's and I am happy). JBL's can be found on amazon.

+1 On the JBL's!! Just keep in mind they are 2 ohm speakers and the X4 is not compatible with 2 ohm speakers. That is if you plan on keeping the X4. As Griff said the BT 6 x 9's are also a great option. So many great 6 x 9's out there it's really a matter of preference.
By the way. . . The LAST 6 x 9's you want are the hog tunes!

OOPS.. forgot about the x4 being 4 ohm or higher... Thanks Gann... I know you always double check my posts LMAO...
To OP: There are many options out there... all depends on your budget as well.
Hey Gann, I read somewhere in a post that I can't find now about the Biketronics 6x9's having a clearance issue with the 2014 and up Hogtunes Rushmore lids when opening. Is that still the case or have they corrected it? Thanks
