Dream set up thread. Keeping bag space, what would you do w/someone elses money?
Did a bunch of searching and in the most recent one, UN recommended some stuff that is way old now. So keeping stock appearance or bag space what would you do? Money not a concern. I know sound is subjective so I am asking what would YOU do? Just kinda fun to see what others would do. If this thread turns into anything controversial or any kind of argument I will request it be removed. So have a little fun and post up your ultimate wish list!!!

Great thread....I was wondering the same thing. In cars, guys have been doing this for years, but on bikes we lose so much sound quality when traveling that cheaper/more budget solutions work well.
Always wondered what a full JL Audio set up would sound like on a bike when going 85mph on the highway.....any real difference or just better sound when parked.
I'd like to set it up so I could switch between what would run while riding and what would run while in "parking lot" mode. For riding I'd have two sets of 6.5"s running, two in the upper fairing and two in pods in the lowers. While parked I'd have those 4 running along with a pair of 6x9s in the lids and an 8" sub in each bag (don't even know if that would be possible as I think the air movement of the subs would interfere with the movement of the cones on the 6x9s). I'd also add something I saw on another bike that I thought was cool. This guy had a small 5" LCD screen installed in each side cover that played the video of whichever song was currently playing.
Add to that a case of loctite and one of those portable jump starters, lol.
Dream set up huh? Wow I have 3 or 4 But I'd probably start with 3 sets of biketronics proline series speakers in the upper, lower and rear pods and two sets of Image Dynamics XS-69 6 x 9's in the saddle bags. Powered with two BT4180 amps. Don't think I've heard any 6 x 9's that sound better than the Image Dynamics XS-69 comps. My Sony 310 HU stays put. lol
I would like to think I am close to the dream. BT 7.1pros in fairing and the BT 6×9s in lids . I love the BT 4 Chanel amp . I have to say I mite add in lowers but I guess that's why its a dream for now.
You like the BT amp over a JL Audio? i gotta hear one of these things.
Eh No! I like adjusting my own gain settings. But the BT amp has more power and it takes up less space. I figure if I'm going to put two sets of 6 x 9's in the saddle bags I have to make up for the space somewhere. The JL 600/4 is the only JL amp I would consider and two would consume the majority of my tourpak.

Dam it man! That's true. Space should not be an issue. (even though blackpearl did mention bag space) OK. . . Given those facts there are a few amps I like over the BT4180. The JL 600/4, The Alpine PDX-F6, The Hertz HDP4, The NVX JAD800.4 and last but not least I love my soundstream TN4.900. My favorite "dream" amps. I just need two of each one. . . lol
