@Little Mike Is is possible to install an amp in the fairing for the '99 to 2006 Electra Glide? If so, what is the largest size amp that you've seen installed with an aftermarket amp?
The PBR300x4 is probably one of the worst amps available for bike audio. 1-you can't bridge it, 2-it's severely underpowered, 3-you can only run 4ohm on it, 4-it gets extremely hot, 5-it's grossly overpriced for what you get, 6-I could keep going but I think you get the gist.
Not to mention the signal to noise ratio sucks on RF amps. RF amps were good for bass in like 1992 - since then all of their **** has gone down hill.
Im not familiar with their amps enough to know off the top of my head, but if its an RF its 87-90 at best. probably has 1% THD at rated too. I think it gets hot too because its not a true class D amp
look for something thats at least 95 s-n and less than .5 THD to start getting better sound than the rockford crap.

now download the manuals and read. There is Ratio CEA 2006 >90db and >110db @ rated power
And now go check popular amps here like SD and others and some of them will have S/n 80! And THD 10%
It's so sad when people talking about stuff they're don't know like they're know it more than you

OK......are you getting the ratings from the MFG? maybe your ratings are at 4 watts LOL

Looks like I was correct in my original statement - 1% THD at Rated (Like I guessed) and a S/N at 90 like you posted, so where am I wrong?
"And now go check popular amps here like SD and others and some of them will have S/n 80! And THD 10%”
Mostly used for SPL competition, BTW they arent a THD of 10% - They are like .01% THD at 10% RATED POWER (Reading, learn it.)
Whatever, I’m not here to argue with someone thats never even installed competition car audio systems.

And that's why I removed my RF. As hot as it got with the fairing taken apart I could only imagine how hot it must get with fairing buttoned up. My class D PRECISION POWER i1000.4 4-CHANNEL 2000W running at
140W x 4 at 4-Ohm
250W x 4 at 2-Ohm
500W x 2 at 4-Ohm Bridged
Total Harmonic Distortion: 0.5% runs nice and cool and I'm running six 2ohm speakers off it right now. I'm stepping up to a six channel amp here soon. Not an audiophile set up but sounds good and loud for being a motorcycle stereo.
