1 hog tunes tweeter pod(gonna take those tweeters out and replace with hertz)
for now I am running the Jensen HDBT head unit but may replace with either the Pioneer AVX-X7700 or the Alpine IDA-X305SBT any and all advice welcome, thx
you need alot more juice than that. Those amps aren't going to give you sufficient juice.
Are you worried about losing FM reception? that will narrow down your choices of amps. If your set on adding tweeters, I would ditch the tweeter pod and add a pair to the guage holes instead.
i was told that I didnt have to add to the guage holes if I removed tweeters that came with the hog tunes and replaced with a the ones from the hertz set.
Was told the amps would be set up to run the lowers and bags and RF's would run the 4 in the bag. Any suggestions on amp
Tweeters - you can do that, but why buy a tweeter bar simply to remove the tweeters. I gotta see what the size of the HSK tweeters are to see if they fit on the port holes....maybe the bar is your only option. Also you have 4 speakers...where are you going to place the other 2 tweeters. Do all four fit on the hogtunes bar?
Amps - the JL audio is 100w x 2 at 2ohms. that means your pushing 50w to each speaker. That's pretty low. Same for the RF that's 75w to each 6x9. Your speakers can handle more than that. Where do you plan on putting the amps? Is space an issue?
Amps with more juice in that price range, some fit in fairing others in the bags
- Biketronics 4180 faring
- Power Acoustik RZ42000D fairing
- RF T4002AD fairing
- Soundstream TN4.900 or PPI 900.4 bags
Obvioulsy those speakers you have selected are high end gear. have you taken a look at Biketronics products?

Haze - you stole my intellectual property :icon_lolsign :
completely agree. those 2 amps will NOT suffice.
above amps will provide (plus 1 unit, 4 channels - except RF).
SS PN4.520 = RZ4 BTW.
only the BT above will guarantee you not losing FM signal - so you know others are hit or (partial) miss...
That JL amp is a little wide for the fairing so it must be going in the tourpak or a saddlebag.
He would be better off getting the BT4180 and the BT2180 to drive all those speakers. He might be able to mount them both in the fairing.

Gotta agree with my friends AAWAV and HAZE. Excellent speakers and sub standard amps. those Hertz speakers require mucho power!! Take a look at HAZE'S suggestions. All powerful amps that will drive your speakers with authority.

Right now what is installed is the RF "House Party" but it was no party what I have listed is whats going to replace that. The Hog tunes was purchased after just never put on so its not sitting with the rest of the stuff, not sure if I wanna remove guages which is only reason I would replace the tweets already inside. I was looking today and was going to purchase the Hertz HCP 4D and that will give me about the same up front but take me to about 145 in the rears. I appreciate any and all feedback as its taking me some time to put this together right.
gonna sell the Mille Crossovers,(not needed came with the 165's as well as all the RF stuff and the JL amp to try to condense to just one amp.
