Well pretty much I have come down to the following head units
kenwood kdc- bt855u $100 open box at best buy or
sony mex-gs610BT at $129 ebay
Thoughts ? One has 5v preout amp other is 4v
Main wants: cd , bluetooth, pretty much it
Would you mind opening your own thread? I wouldn't care but we are looking for two different things. You want a CD and I do not. You will probably get more views that way too...
I hear you JPJ. I went through the exact same thing. That's what I like about the forum. Guys here with real world experience who have been there done that. The DB's sound ok while they are playing but can't take any power at all and the MM651's well we all the story on those. Can't hardly blow the infinity's. They take a lickin and keep on tickin!
I hear what both of you are saying. I am not sure if the infinity will fit in this fairing though. Any details on depth or magnet size in comparison with the DBs? Thanks!

So the Infinitys won't fit. The grills are too big. I have a max of 6.1" and the Crutchfield rep said they are 6.4" so I need to find something else. I would prefer to use the same speakers in the fairing as in the lowers if possible. I am going to pull my Soundstream PN4.520D (anyone want a deal on a three week old amp?) and go with the NVX (if I can find one in stock...). I plan to run the 5.25s parallel on two channels at 2 ohms and the 6.25s on the other two channels at 4 ohms...I will be going with the Sony DSXM-50BT.

Sounds like a well thought out plan! Let us know how it shakes out! Good luck my man!
