My HU has a usb port and I plug my ipod into it for music. My question is, if I use one of those memory sticks (not sure what they are called) how do you see what is on it? Does it just start at the beginning every time or is it random?

 

Your song selections will display on the face of your HU. Simply use the HB controls to select folders or songs.

 

on the kenwood kdc 798 : the usb flash drive is organized via folders. I tried it yesterday and I have a 16gb flash drive with a 50 plus albums. Its organized by artists and it'll the head unit will play it by "Folders" how you have your music organized. My music was organized by artist, the head unit played the first on the flash drive, and I skipped to next song it read the artist & song. Once I finally clicked through the folder it went to next artist (folder) and so on.

Would recommend creating a folder and a nice playlist you like
