Yes pods are those on a 2014 bike. You should have no probs with what you purchased.

Outside the pods means just like stock, remove 4 screws that hold speaker to the pod and remove/install speaker. There as an alignment nub that will need to be ground off. Inside the pods means remove the pods, split the pod in 2 halves, there are I think 5 screws to split the pod. Then you mount the speaker on the inside and then put the two halves back together, I.E. you have to split the pod to remove or install the speaker. get it?
