I didn't like the Moto 6.2's, someone else on here didn't like them either because I bought them from him

So rather than refunding my money, Phat's finally came through with my second set of 602's. So now I'm back to putting the second set in the lowers. I bought the unvented lowers pods from Mutazu. The speakers fit good in the pod pockets without the grill housing, but not even close with the housing. It doesn't look like any two piece grill setup will work with these pods. Maybe if I had some sort of custom half inch thick spacers but even then the fit and finish would probably suck. Anybody out there using the unvented speakers pods from Matuza and have a good solutions for grills? Or any other speaker pod suggestions for my unvented lowers? Thanks

Wow, I'm such a newbie to this audio thing.. who would have thunk they make the 6.5 x 1/2 spacers I mentioned above. Found them on amazon. Picked up a couple of steal mesh black grills that had high reviews as well. Thought about painting Arc grills, but that would have only saved me peanuts vs the finish on new ones. Now I just need to pick up some spade connectors and wait for the amazon truck and I just may be ready to start the actual install. I've been picking up parts, advice and researching best practices for 2 months. That reminds me... got to add polly fill sheets to the shopping list. Thanks for the advice everyone.

You may want to start a new thread on your upgrades and provide some pics of the speaker fitment problem.

I could never get them loud enough and they never sounded as good as the 602's. Both take a ton of power to get loud but imo the 602's always sounded better and cost less.

If you're hunting components, spend the money elsewhere. Tons of better choices imo component wise.

Now if you want thumping 6.5's the 602's are still my favorite for that, they just don't get as loud as I'd like and I'm not ready to send 300 watts to them

Whatever you do, don't buy the ARC Audio. Bought mine in Summer 2015 MPAK AMP speaker combo and matched it to a Jensen HD1BT. The unit lasted about 15 months. Even with the radio off it made a high pitched squeal so loud I couldn't start the bike. The squeal hurt the speakers so after about 10 hour of road time the system started to cut out. Took it back to the shop, they called ARC and the tech told them to send the amp back. the amp just got back on Monday (20 days later) and the problem still exists. The shop called ARC and they are blaming the speakers. It's ARC Audio Speakers! and they're not willing to stand behind them! Even though they were blown out by their failed AMP. The best they'll do is point me to their 12 month warranty. ANY Stereo component that lasts less than 2 years is a POS! And any company that hides behind a 12 month warranty knows their selling a POS

If you were using the Arc Mini 125.2 that amp was struggling at 70w maxed out to push those speakers. It's recommend to use the Arc Moto 600.4 instead that provides you with some additional headroom. That was bad pairing by Arc and the professional installer should have advised you of this. We would never have recommended this much less taken your money for installation.
