I'm currently running the 2000D and am considering swapping it for the 3000D. Comparing the two, the 3000D looks to be just over an inch longer. I had to elevate the 2000D just to get it to clear my fairing supports and it's still pretty tight. Can anyone that has the 3000D in a pre 14 batwing comment on the fit? I know the end caps can come off, and I've removed them from mine but I still can't see adding another inch+ plus. What say you?
It fits! Same way....you need to raise it up just a bit. It's tight...but the RCA's and speaker connections are passed the fairing supports, so no issues connecting your wires/cables.
A friend has had it on his bike for a few weeks now and sounds great.

John - I'll yank my fairing off tomorrow and take a pic. I'm running it now. and it's a freakin beast! You and Nutz both are gonna love that amp! Like HAZE said it will sit about a quarter to a half inch above the radio. But it fits like a glove. You will have to make your connections before you seat the amp between the vertical brackets. As soon as you turn that thing on and set the gains you'll notice a HUGE difference in sound. I'll post a pic of my set up tomorrow on this thread.
Cool, looking forward to it. It would seem that the Sony DSX I sent you a few weeks back wasn't my problem after all, and the only component I haven't swapped is the amp. My problem returned yesterday.
As you can see the PA fits nicely between the vertical brackets. Tight but fits.
Here you go John. These were quick and dirty pics but I think they illustrate what you need to see. This configuration is what worked for me. Disclaimer: Has not been approved by AAWAV or NUTZ LOL.
I used the screws from the amp itself to attach the amp to the black vertical brackets. If you pull the amp all the way back to the gauges the brackets fit perfectly and holds the amp in there nice and tight. I only took a pic of one side but the same configuration is on the other side. As stated in an earlier post the amp will sit about 1/4 inch off the HU. Hope this helps my man!

Lol. . . That Sony you sold me is in perfect working order!
Meh, it's a win/win for us both. The new Sony MEX has an option for a red face, which goes perfectly with my red gauges and the red accent lighting in my fairing speaker openings. Just for the record, UltraNutZ himself installed that one on my bike a couple of years ago. I should have asked for more money if for no other reason. Glad it worked out for you.
