I want a nice audio system on my 2014 FLHTK. Easy way is to go my HD Dealer in Kokomo and get Boom Audio Stage 1 installed, but I know the aftermarket is much, much better.
I have read all the threads on the different aftermarket systems and would love to have a Biketronics system on my bike, but I am not the mechanic ! I destroy all I work on!
Been to all local installers who have never heard of the HD flash for 2014-2015 bikes, so lack of trust there.
Any installers who will install Biketronics system in Indiana? And then guide me to a HD dealer who understands the flash process for 2014-2015 aftermarket systems?
Save me from the Boom System, please! Any help accepted...
Man. . . Honestly if the bike was a 06-13 I'd ride my bike to Kokomo and install your system for you brother. But the 14's are a different animal. I could get the system in with no problem with all the right components. But with all the different flashes and magic boxes on the 14's I have no idea how it's going to sound. So far it's been a guessing game. Some guys luck out and it sounds good. But the majority are having audio nightmares with the 14's and 15's. I'd call Bill at Biketronics and see what his latest and greatest suggestions are for the 14's. I would have to escalate this one up to Ultranutz who is our resident godfather of audio. If he can't fix it. It can't be fixed.
Yep I'd be in same boat could install the gear but don't anything about the flashes on newer models.
Yeah Alan. . I'm trying to learn as much as I can about the 14's and 15's but nothing is standardized on those bikes. There is no "One size fits all" Every bike appears to be different in regard to flashes and what not. Here lately guys have been installing systems with no flash and having pretty good luck. But as soon as you hear one success story, you hear about another 5 guys who are unsuccessful. I'll be glad when someone finds a permanent solution to the flash drama. I'd like to purchase a new bike if they ever get it figured out. But I for one don't need that flash headache. . . lol
