Is there any way to get a sub on my electraglide without losing all my bag space or having to add the tour pack? Is it even worth it? Will it make a difference anywhere but a parking lot?
Sub not worth it in the wind. It's all about the configuration of speakers on your electraglide. 6x9 speakers are going to generate the most bass. The more the merrier. There are certain 6.5 speakers that generate more bass than others. For example the 7.1's are going to generate more bass than the kappas. Just depends on what speakers you purchase.
It makes a big difference in the parking lot, a slight difference cruising around town, and no difference o the hwy. a set of 6X9 will take up the back of your bags. Lids with quality 6X9 will provide some low end.
Do you already have a set of HSK's installed. If so, with what amp. I'd say those Hertz and a set of BT Pros are going to be comparable in sound.....I'm currently running Pros. I get some decent low end from them (more like warm mids, not real bass), but nothing compared to what comes out of the bags.
If you don't mind losing the space. A set of decent 6X9 is around 100-120 bucks.
Ive already got a set of Hertz 6x9s in the bags, they pound pretty hard, I just didnt want to take the chance that I was putting too much low freq through them.
