Been having trouble with my handlebar control module. Called Bill last Monday. he said sent it back. Got the new module today no charge. great fast service.

I called Bill Monday talked to him with the same problem. I got home Thursday night and the BT module was in the mail box. I have not had time to switch it out . I lost my controls in the rain a few weeks back. I let them dry out still no go. BT is one of the best companies to work with hands down.

I used their retro radio kit when I went to an aftermarket head unit, a Sony DSX 310 at NutZ's suggestion. It worked perfectly. Two years later I switched to a Sony MEX. I thought it would be a simple head unit swap, no big deal changing from a Sony to another Sony, right? Wrong. The hand controls wouldn't work properly. Long story short, I called Bill at BT and explained my problem. It turns out that Sony made some changes in the two years since I bought the module, and it wouldn't work with my new head unit. Here's the cool part. Bill had me return the old module and shipped me a new one FREE OF CHARGE even though he was under no obligation to do so. Customer service doesn't get any better than that.

+1 on Biketronics customer service. John I've been meaning to ask you how you liked the Sony Mex-M70BT? I installed it. Ran it for a couple weeks and lost all USB capability? None of my USB sticks would work in the dam thing. Played about 7 songs out of 500 and then displayed the error message "NO MUSIC" Reformatted, reset, The whole nine. No joy. Took it out this past weekend and went back to the Sony 310. All is well.

+ 1 on Bill and BT being fantastic. Never gets old.
Gann I see a 998 or Alpine in your future. Separate crossovers for your front and rear channels. Imagine how much harder your 6X9 will hit crossed over at 40hz and still having your fairing at 80hz!
Gannicus, I like the MEX well enough, but in all honesty I only selected it because of it's ability to select all red lighting on it's face which happened to coincide with the addition of red led accent lighting in my fairing speaker openings and red gauge lighting. I don't use the USB port except to charge my phone which I stream via bluetooth. Are you using the 310 that you got from me?

Lol.... Nope. I have 3 of them now. Had 4 and sold one. I'm kind of collecting them because they stopped making them and it's my favorite HU. Quite naturally the Sony MEX is for sale....lol
