Finally got it all finished and I SERIOUSLY thought something was way wrong....highs were fine, but man the bass was knocking the crap out of the speaker. Was thinking maybe crossover issues...who knows....initially grabbed the line converter, thinking one dial was bass and one was treble...LOL...then finally realized that its left and right gain controls....turned it down and everything is MUCH better. Gotta get it flashed and do some fine tuning...but all in all great system. From all the reviews, I expected it to be louder, but we will see after the flash and some more fine tuning.
I also am glad I skipped taping down the Line Converter, as if I would have during the install, I would have had to rip it all apart to get to the level adjusters. Thinking I may look for a better converter...but who knows how high a quality these things even get, as any head unit of true quality is going to have RCA outs anyhow. The one in there now is attached via velcroe for easy access to all ports.
Only other thing I had that went awry was mounting the fairing again, as the bracket mounting point for the fairing was misaligned....loosened the screws, moved it, BAM all good.
All things considered, this is about at good as it gets as far as getting an aftermarket system and installing it!! Simple as can be, and VERY high quality on every part.
Ohhyeah...skip watching any other install video's and trying to get a head start....the tray DOES NOT need to be removed (i did it and ended up reinstalling it).
THe Pods...I used a wobble extension and a knuckle connector ona socket and I also used a ratcheting adjustable head end wrench...took maybe 20 minutes total to get all 6 bolts out.
On wiring...I was going to try and not take the tank off to wire the power, then bit the bullet and took it off...try and note where your breather tubes go...especially the stiffer one of the 2...as I have no idea... :-P It is going down to the bottom but no clue if its the original spot or not...it was a PITA to get it to the bottom on one side...

So it appears that there is no longer a bin file. THe flash software has changed in the last week and the setting options have all changed. After physically looking at this software, I do not understand why Harley cannot make it available to us to flash our own ECM....its insane that I had to pay 40 dollars for LITERALLY 3 minutes of work.
I had to call Biketronics because the options they give are no longer correct and had the mechanic all pissed off....to the point they charged me EXTRA to flash it because it took an extra 10th of an hour....their words...they charged me an extra 10 bucks for 6 minutes of time...that it took for me to call and get settings....

Glad you were able to figure it out. That is pretty crappy on your dealers part, this whole flash taking 3 minutes and getting whacked for 40 bucks and another 10 is BS.
As for the flash settings, is this page not correct now?

Nope that page is no longer correct. Now going forward, there are no Amps under the options tab...you have a number of Amps under speakers tab and different speaker options and that is all...
For 2 speaker setup, you just simply select 1 am, 2 speakers and that is all....

Hi,
I am really sorry for the hassle on this, sometime in the last week HD rolled out a update to the digital tech software. We have updated our document and the link is now correct, we have two options depending on the digital tech version.
As for the distorted and heavy bass, that is expected before getting it flashed.
Again, really sorry for the issue. Just when we think we have a plan HD changes software.

Its all good Bill!! I am glad I was there at a time I could call you and verify. I was either doing the "1 amp and 2 speakers" or the "1 amp and enhanced speakers" if I didnt get through to you...the system sounds 100 times better now than it did...so no complaints from me!! (at least with regards to you guys!! Not the same for the HD dealers and the HD policy on this foolish setup nonsense....should be a setting within the stereo system software that a customer can access period...when you advertise about customizing a motorcycle to your taste and then make it as difficult as possible to do so, its practically false advertising!!)

No worries Bill, not your fault. HD has been seriously behind the curve with the new radios/software. I just wanted to make sure the procedure was the latest. I just added your rear speakers and will do the latest update before taking the bike to the shop for something else, I want to see if it corrects my AVC issue (or brings a whole other set of issues). HD needs to fire the software people and hire someone who has a clue.
Looks like the new digi tech update is why the dealer couldn't do the second part of the flash i requested. Might have to go back and see if things will sound even better with the new flash procedure.
