Or, how about some Rokker 6.5 in the metal brackets instead of the 7.1?
Just kidding....thanks for the tips

Ok, thanks for the tip. This whole thing started because on my '12 SG with the hogtunes setup I wasn't getting much bass at all and if I upped the level on the HK radio things went south pretty quickly. From what I've read here, even if I never get the lowers the pair of 7.1s will be the best thing I've ever heard on my bike. I think Hogtunes is a good company and Pez and his crew certainly seem to put an emphasis on customer service, but my guess is his stuff is considered basic/entry level. I'd be interested to read the threads going back with J&M to find out why he is persona non grata here. Have never heard that equipment except for his videos on youtube, but my first impressions were that he must have extremely high overhead to charge the prices listed. I decided to go BT because of all the praise here and I don't mind paying more than my original budget knowing that A) it's all made in the USA, B) Lifetime warranty, I mean c'mon, NOBODY does that C) customer service and time on the phone. I know I'll be plenty happy.
BTW, still waiting on those pics of the tweets in the grills.

Thanks Gann, but I would never have tried had it not been for you, haze and a couple others here giving great advice to everyone.

Wow, that looks trick. I'm sure it sounds fantastic as well. It seems at least audio wise that you have way more options with a pre-Rushmore bike.
