fix for loose volume button?

fix for loose volume button?

on my new hu anytime the volume is changed it displays it on the screen and over rides the clock display. my volume button has become loose to the point of any decent bump in the road and it changes the volume by 1 or 2 clicks, which causes my screen to change and draws my eyes down. anyone know of a fix for this or am i destined to buy a new switch?

maybe some fresh dielectric grease / o ring some where to add some resistance. no idea just board sorry to waste your time.

Sounds like your switch is really close to failing all together. You can replace it yourself if your handy with a soldering iron.

Are you sure it's the switch and not AVC? Mine did the same thing and hated it. Turned the avc off and not an issue.

Can't be AVC. The new hu doesn't have it. It's the switch.

AVC has nothing to do with the hu. Its possible to keep with the biketronics kit only.

Well that's a first for me. I've never seen an AVC system work with an aftermarket hu.

Regardless that is not the problem as it happens on bumps, not changes in speed. Since it doesn't seem to be a too common of a problem I'll just order a new switch and add it to the winter list of things to do.
