Default my new setup - am I crazy?

been chatting with haze about this, figured i'd put it out here to and see what everyone else thinks.

Current setup:
Arc moto 602's with a TM400x4 bridged, I really like this just want louder.
a TM400x2 (can sell to increase budget)
a set of Biketronics Titan II's (can sell to increase budget)
$550 cash on hand for budget (can increase by selling off above)

Lowers are a no go for me, just didn't like the look at all. This leaves me with limited options...

Currently I'm thinking about selling the 2 channel amp, Biketronics speakers and 602's and using this:

and a set of M770's. Downside is this setup after prep and paint would eat up all my budget. It would be a single set of M770's until next winter and then maybe add some M770 lids Don't care about loosing the gloveboxes, only keep a pen, some bank slips and the garage door opener, could easily put that in a tray in the bags.

Other option within budget (selling my Biketronics 6.5's and my 2 Channel amp):
Keep my 602's (which I REALLY like, I just want louder) and add lids. 6.5, 5x7, 6x9, M770, whatever. Problem is I'd be running only the 4 channel amp which is currently bridged for the 602's. So would need to consider that, I really think the Moto's need the extra omph! I could use 2 amps but I'd need to find Amber Whiskey lids with GOOD speakers for less than $750. I can find lids and speakers for that but not painted,

My brain is starting to hurt thinking about it all again! Leaning towards the M770's, seems to be the best option for me unless someone can come up with a better combination for me. BTW I ride solo, never have a passenger.

This is from manchester harley, but if you use the part numbers and go to boardtracker there is no dales tax and free shipping. V-twin has a 6x9 adaptor.

Yeah, so another 160 or so, i keep forgetting about the grills. I just planned on picking one up a paycheck while i wait for the lids. Looks like it's gonna be black velvet this month instead of crown lol.

I'm actually shooting for your 602 sound for my fronts and adding 6x9's, possibly with my B2 in a saddlebag, unless i can find one amp to do all that.

Good luck with what ever you decide.

I REALLY like the 602's they just like a lot of power, I'm pushing 200w to each right now (TM400x4 bridged)

You're crazy.

Just think about it: Every time you get stopped for disturbing the peace, you'll have to get off the bike and fumble around in the saddle bag, trying to find your pen to sign the Ticket.

Crazy, Yep, and I like it!!! This is a very cool way to overcome the 6.5 speaker limitation on the RG. I have read were some have installing the BT7.1's in the stock fairing with some cutting. Not sure how much cutting is involved thou. Does this fairing do away with the pods? If you do go this route you should be able to get away with only needing one amp to power four speakers.

You keep the speaker pods and the glove boxes, they told me they were needed for bracing. I think I can get by without them :P When I talked to them on the phone they explained it that the M770's use the speaker pod, I have no idea how that would work but w/e.

I could run 4 of the M770's off the TM400x4 with good results I'm told. My car audio told be but I double checked with some bike installers using M770's just to be safe.

Just did a little ride up in the country (had to go to a rural courthouse to get some deeds), about 200 mile round trip. Had my full face helmet on and was rocking out at 90+. Couple times I had to crack the visor to identify the song but amazed I could hear that well at 90+

That would be a cost saver. But we know how that goes, need more power!!! Looking at the specs they can take it too.

Those 602's are awesome.
