Looking for a set of 6x9's to compare with the Moto 692's I currently have. I am running a B54 bridged @ 300Wx2 and they sound pretty good, but when I turn it up the highs seem to get pretty shrill like. Might just be that loud lol.
In any event, I'm open to suggestions for something to try that will be able to handle the power and tame the highs.
Lower your gains a bit. Just because the woofer can take 300 watts doesn't mean the tweeter can thats a lot of power.
The MPX 690 and the HCX 690 are not that different in comparison to the design change of in the HCX 165 and the Mille version. Those speakers can't take 300 watts either without some serious EQing either man.
