I'm keeping my eyes and options open. I retired from the Army last year and am working on a pretty strict budget. I guess patience will be my friend. I will hold out and try to price something better together.
Trying to stay under $200... See why I'm going with the Boom stuff? I'll try to just do speakers now,, and add an amp later on.
You will be miles ahead if you hold out just a little while and let your budget grow just a tad. For around $500ish you can have a system that'll blow that 08 Boom upgrade out of the water.
Not too long ago I pulled that same exact system out of a friends CVO. The stock system on my 2010 Limited sounded just as good or better than what he was pulling out. I installed a SS pn4.520, Kappa 62.11 in front, and Kickers in the rear for him a year ago and he's still thanks me every time I see him. It's worth it to wait my friend.
What a turn this thread took. All I thought when I posted was "I'm not going to let them talk me out of it". Here is where I am: Hog tunes front speakers )I already had them sitting on the shelf), kicker KSC 674 (Crutchfield scratch and dent) $85 for the rear. I will revisit the amp later, then come back around and replace the fronts (unless I can unload them on the Forum or CL).
Thanks again!
