Hey guys, over the next couple months I plan to gather all the components used below for my 2016 SGS. Let me know if I'm missing something or suggestions to change something
BT4180 w/ front and rear line levelers
Hertz mille 6.5 in fairing. Would like to use the stock pods if possible? Need feedback on that
Hertz HCX 690 in Hogtunes lids
Stock 6.5 head unit

I think you can do better in the fairing at the same price point. Like the 6.5 Millies, just don't luv them.
are you trying to gather all these components "used" over time.
The only thing I will caution you when using higher end gear is the cost also comes with a great warranty. For example the 4180 doesn't have a transferable life time warranty.

I plan on buying everything new. I'll buy the amp directly from BT
Don't really want to recommend anything at this juncture but I will tell u that the most important speaker on my set up when I'm rolling down the road are in the fairing and I personally would push a bit harder for that loud and clear speaker with some good punch. For me, the Millie 6.5 were just a bit light on what I was looking for in the fairing.
Go with the Focal KRC's in the fairing. If you're going to use the stock pods you will have to drill holes so the speakers can breath. I'd go with the Biketronics brackets if it were me. I had the 690's at one point in the lids and I didn't like em. Too bright. Not enough bass. If course there isn't a 6x9 out there that's gonna have enough bass. Key word being ENOUGH Actually one of the best 6x9's I've found in the lids is the Biketronics 6x9's. They do well in the lids and they are water resistant to boot. Which is exactly what you want your lid speakers to be. If you're looking for bass that will come from 6x9's or 8's inside the saddle bags facing the wheel. But yeah the Focals and the Biketronics 6x9's is a set up you'll be happy with.
