Got my gains set by ear and system sounding good.
Was wondering if now that it's set does it make any difference of the source I use. Cd or aux input?
It's a 2010 with stock h/u so aux is all I got besides cd.
The reason I ask is I don't seem to be able to push the volume up as high with the iPod or iPhone connected as I do the CDs.
The iPod seems to have a tinny sound the higher the volume goes.
Does the interconnect make a difference?
I know !! A new h/u would be life changing... In time.....
Thanks
yes they will have different sounds as they use different dacs (digital to analog conversion) and not all mp3 files are created equally. store bought cds are typically better engineered in the studio when they are made so they sound better than most mp3s.
