It's kind of like our brothers Haze and Gann have been saying since dirt was a relatively new thing. It's all about the cumulation of details and this is just one additional detail.

Yes...the details. You also have to know when to use these in proper application. Don't think this will add low end to ALL speakers. Some speakers work better in smaller enclosures, this will certainly help. Other speakers need a larger enclosure, hence why so many ditch the pods and use the BT brackets.

would you use these rings on hertz hcx mounted on bt brackets?

I would use them on any/all speaker. You will notice a difference with them as to what they are designed to do. Some speakers are noticeably warmer sounding, some less but you will notice a difference.
Again, details...

thing with using them with ALL speakers is that it also depends how much power they are getting. I've tried these with some speakers and the low end sounded much better, a different speaker and more power there seemed to be cancellation from the smaller enclosure, loss of clarity too.
I'd say on average, with moderate (normal) power these are sure to help in most set ups. You gotta think what these were intended for on car doors and compare the power a car door speaker gets vs us giving that same speaker 200w!!
Ok guys, got back from vacation and my 16gb thumb drive showed up. Got the 1.20.2 updates installed and went for a ride. The changes I've made in this thread have actually made quite a difference. It's still just as loud but it's more of a full range than just the highs I was getting before. It still sounds better with it on accessories but it's not so drastic of a difference. I think I'm gonna order a set of those fast rings to try out and see how that goes. Thanks for all the advice guys!
1.19.0 after living with it for a few hundred miles, I think it sounds better than it did with it being more of a full range. The bass is still lacking but it doesn't sound like all highs anymore. I think this is mainly from going to full range on the amp instead of HP. My fast rings came in but I just don't see how they could install on a bike. I may order a set of baffles to try out. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0039...=focal+baffles
Maybe Ill try the 1.20.2 tomorrow. Im running into he same thing as you. Sounds great in acc. But mostly highs running. I have some biketronic rackets comming. Hopefully that will help with getting the sound I want.
