Talked with Mike at Biketronics and he suggested moving the filter dials counterclockwise in VERY SMALL increments, checking the sound as I go. I ended up moving the default settings maybe 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch and the sound is much fuller with a reasonable amount of bass. Thanks Mike for excellent customer service. So far only garage tested but I'll get out tomorrow and do a road test.
So far all good.
Moving those dials that much is an enormous change in voltage and effect on gain settings as BB pointed out. Go into audio setting and do a speaker test. I bet both tones sound very different.

Hold the Mute button and turn ignition to Acc.
Tap Accept and release the Mute.
Tap on Audio - Speaker Test.
With my LL balanced left to right with a DMM the right speaker is louder. There was a time when they sounded the same.
