Default Replacement head unit for stock 2012 head unit

Looking to replace 2012 head unit - looking for recommendations. I have boom speakers in front fairing and in saddlebag lids...want clearer and crisper audio.

Take a look around the audio section. Most guys are running Kenwood or Sony. The x998 and mex70bt are really popular. Great sound quality and a lot of features.

You'll definitely hear it over there so I'll say it here as well - you are severely limited by the boom stuff, hopefully you're prepared to upgrade. If not, there's no real reason to go aftermarket, the whole lipstick on a pig thing.

Sony or Kenwood are the most popular. Make sure and get one with USB. You can load a ton of tunes and never be without music and my best sound comes from the USB files. Way better sound than CD or Sirius. Kenwood decks have a ton of sound options. You'll also need to pick up some form of adapter to use handlebar controls. I recommend Biketronics........and also pick up an amp if you don't have one.

I have the Kenwood X798 and the Biketronics RetroRadio module that has the AVC which is a must so you don't have to continuously adjust the volume.
