OK, I need some clarification regarding all these test tones.
Most of these test tones found online are labeled @0db, however when you analyze them with MP3Gain they are in the 100s.
Could someone clarify this for me?
Thanks in advance.

This is why most music is downloaded at around a 98 db level from most good online sources, such as Amazon. If you drop to level's that mp3 gain doesn't show clipping, you lose near 10db of volume , which is a lot. So I suggest to always set the tone to around 5db above your recording levels. So if you drop all you music to 93, then run a 98 db test tone. A typical -5 db test tone is 98 db. Keep in mind as well the lower the test tone level, the more gain you add, potentially adding noise in the system.
