Ok, one of my JL speakers has blown, and the amazon person says it's only 90d warranty through him, JL won't honor warranty because amazon isn't authorized dealer,, SOOOOOO I can do my 6.9's now! I forget who has the adapter for the 14 ^ lids and what very affordable Pioneer speakers everyone was so excited about for the price,, I'll run those for a while if they give out maybe go to something else. My JL 5x7 is silent, unless I reach in from underneath and touch the cone with a little pressure, then it tries to play.

The adapters are from Vtwin Audio. Many are now running Pioneer TS6900's
Hi Jim, I just got and did the 6x9 brackets from Vtwin. They work great a nd look quite nice. When I ordered them I didn't realize I needed to cut the existing basket out of the lids with a dremel and 12-14 plastic cutting wheels. It's messy and it takes some time but it's well worth it upon completion. Good luck
I have part of my basket cut out already for my 5x7's I ran, (BT then the JL's,, both much bigger magnets than the HD 5x7's.. so it's just a matter of taking them the rest of the way out! LOL...
Once you get the basket looking like this picture, you just have to get things flush for the V-Twin adaptors. Run a small bead of silicone for a water tight finish.
Crutchfield has them for the same price, and very good reviews. Will be looking forward to the video.
Yea, I think that's where I found them to begin with, then I googled. These have the two 12x12" Rock Mat, not sure where the application will go on these,, but either way it's something extra for them. LOL....

I see. The Rock Mat is probably intended for installing the 6x9's on the rear deck in a car.
