The DSP in our applications are used to replace the LL. With the proper amp/speakers AND DSP there's no comparison!! NONE!!
Before the stone throwing starts, that doesn't mean EVERYONE HAS TO HAVE ON OR NEEDS ONE. The DSP allows more customization to anything it's added to, if and only if it's properly set up.
There are several new DSP units coming out in the next few months. They were ALL functionally displayed at the 2017 CES show and they were all equally amazing in their ability. The one haze is runnning through its paces will be a game changer, as he puts it, for many. Size and features will sell this unit alone and I can't wait to get one.
ive got 6 different DSP units in my shop including one that won't be on the market for another 3 months, thanks to a relative in the industry. It's absolutely phenomenal what they are doing with these new units.
Luckily for us that want the "next level" of customization and to be able to adjust/fine tune the frequencies our speakers are producing, the new DSP units will do this better than most can imagine.
Many of the DSP manufacturers have heard the cry for smaller and more powerful units and they are starting to accommodate.
I'm not a aficionado in the DSP arena for mobile setups but I am in the home/theatre/etc field and anything audio that needs/wants customization to the audio sound output the DSP is the way to go.
Again it doesn't mean everyone has to or needs to incorporate it into their build as most are more than thrilled with the current sound. But put two identical setups side by side, one with and one without a DSP, and you will then understand the advantage of having one.
And no I don't sell them nor do I plan to. Just my .02

Yes, I'm calling out Slye and Bagger Audio Lab to beta test the hell out if this shix in the days to come, and I know they will indeed advance thus industry, but the best remedy is to be extremely patient, do your homework and buy the shix that works well with what u got and not buy shix hoping for a magic pill to come save the day.
Just saying!!!!
Properly aligned DSPs will be a huge benefit to this sled audio industry but there is only so much lipstick u can put on a pig, so buy the RIGHT **** first and enhance it with the DSP. The DSP aunt gonna fix a shixxy speaker or amp!!!!
Just sayin, again!!!!
