So my overhead door destroyed the top half of the whip cuz i didn't pull far enough into garage. Anybody here replace long original with the j&m audio stubby, and if so your thoughts on fm/am reception. Im in chicago so should be good but those trips to the country are what have me concerned. Myself I would just go to the stealership and get another one to replace the broken one or go with a shorty. It will be cheaper than the JM for sure.
Not knowing were in the Chi-town area your at I do know That Chi-town HD in Tinley Park runs specials on the full moon.
If I remember correctly they offer 20%off on those days.
I have jeard that you can do just as well buying a Walmart shorty antenna and laying it above the HU in the fairing, one of the guys at the dealership told me they do it all of the time. That being said, I have an HD hidden one and it works fine unless I get way out in the backroads.
