In process of installing Hog lids on my 17 RGS and while laying it all out I started thinking how do I remove the saddlebag after the install is complete? Is there a plug outside of the bag? If so what kind of plug are you guys using?

Yes, you will want to install a plug on each bag. If you look at some of the other installs on here you will see how guys are running theirs. I run Deutsch connectors and they work great.
I also run Deutsch connectors, both tourpak and bags. I would recommend getting a couple extras of everything if you've never used them before because they can be medium challenging to figure out what goes where the very first time. Nothing worse than getting all your parts and screwing it up then having to wait for more connectors. Ask me how I know. There are easier solutions available out there that people will chime in with.
if you go with RCA
This will let you unplug a short cable in the bag
Just need to cover them under the seat
and if the amp is 4 channel, then run the 2 into 1 spliiter version. One set from the head unit and split under teh seat to the amp in the bag

I ran speaker level inputs back there. Depending on the year of bike and whatbthe amp is driving you could also pop a loc or LL there too.
Hmm......bike is a '12
