Over the AW components? I know I didn't have the AWs long, but the D4 bridged to the AWs seemed better than the Arcs to me. I really liked the 602s while I had them, I could feel the snare drum in my chest at 50mph, I I still felt the AW was better. And yes, my ear could be hearing things slightly different.
I'm with you Matt. AW6.5 all day long. The only problem is the need for the pod removal brackets with the AWs.
I would even toss the DD CC6.5s in there before the Motos.
If ur committed to the Motos, the ARC MPAK 10 or greater kits might be the way to go, with the addition of a 70 buck BT 355 line Leveler. Then at least if u get the audio bug and want add lowers or lids u can retain a damn good amp for that growth. Think the MPAK kit is only like $750.

For pure "bass" the Motos are it. The AW is a better speaker hands down but it's also a much more significant investment. I also think the AW's sound best with a JL amp. So warmest "combo" for me is the D4 + Moto combo.
Which of these speakers would give a warmer sound?
I have been leaning towards the Arc's with the D4
That's the thing. Three guys. Three different opinions. I've ran both with all amps listed. Can't go wrong with either set up. D4 Moto combo rocks and the AW"s rock with the JL amp. Both set up's are a beast. Always comes down to personal preference. No wrong answer here fellas. To answer the Ops question. I'd say both are warm. Either way you lean torch. It's all good. As Haze said. The AW set up is gonna cost a little more and it's also gonna take a little more effort to set em up.

Thanks man, That's exactly what I was lookin for.
I had been considering the Arc's with a JL amp but then I read your post about the D4 and I was sold!
Getting ready to take a week long trip to Maggie tomorrow so the upgrade will have to wait till later. Wife said trip or tunes and I KNEW the right answer.
I'm sure after the trip she'll come around!
Ok, CV B52 and BT355 line leveler has been ordered! Still up in the air on what speakers I want. I want something that will drop right in the stock pods without modifying anything. Is there anything else that I'm needing to purchase to do the install, other than wire and connectors? I have that taken care of already. Again, thanks guys for all the info!
