I would love to upgrade my sound system. I love the sound but I would like to improve current set-up. Do I start with adding 6x9s, sub woofer in the bags, up grade existing speakers, new amp? Which component should I upgrade first?
I have the Power Acoustic RZ4 2000D amp, BT 7.1 non-pro speakers in the fairing, and kickers 41KSC654 in the lower fairing. I still have the stock head unit 2015 4.3 Boom Audio.

Are you running the BT line leveler? I would upgrade the speakers first with that set up. The power acoustic RZ4.2000 is a pretty good amp. The speaker change would make a huge difference in your sound. MMATS 601.4's in the lowers and the AD Designs CX62 in the fairing. If you wanted to take it a step farther DD VO 6x9's in the lids.
Yes, I have the BT line levelers. Should I drill out the bags and face the 6x9's toward the rear wheel or purchase lids that will hold 6x9s? On the MMATS are you referring to the PA601's? My current system that I have was purchased with your advise. I really thank you guys for your knowledge and expertise.
PA601.4 would be the one you're looking for in the lowers.
Just FYI. The Mmats website is not very up yo date, so talk to a dealer for current info on these. Bagger Audio Lab is a great source for them. Hope this helps

Nope, put the 6x9 in the lid for a fee reasons, better direct sound, and leaves you room in the bags for an 8 or a 10/amp later if you so choose.

If you wanna run the MMats hit me up. They are very loud and clear speakers but if you plan on using the RZ4.2000d, they might not work. You really do need an adjustable crossover to make them work. If you are going to add 6X9 or any speaker in the bags I would also consider a different amp as most of the speakers that go in the back you want to cross down to 60hz to get some good thump. The VO6X9 are fantastic like Gann pointed. They flat out thump and scream in the lids.

Yes Sir Brian! As Matt said. Hit up Haze. He's got everything you need to upgrade bro! Those DD's in the lids are killer with the MMATS in the lowers. Perfect balance of loudness and bass. As Alex said it would probably be a good idea to switch out the amp with your new system. You're gonna need crossovers on the amp and the PA doesn't have any. Hit Haze at Alex@baggeraudiolab.com and he will take care of you bro!!
