Would definitely like to see all you Michigan boys come down. I am originally from Traverse City, and get back home every few years.

Alex and I talked briefly last night. Like he said maybe a meet and greet at my shop Friday night with some food, beverages, and music. Then maybe I could set up a nice ride Saturday morning through the Appalachian foothills. We have some nice scenery within a 20 minute ride from Birmingham. Then Saturday afternoon the audio competition/ bike night at the dealership. Then maybe go somewhere afterwards for a couple beverages. None of this is set in stone, just some ideas we had. October 13 was mentioned, but I can't do that or the weekend before. I am taking my wife on our 25th anniversary vacation. It would have to be in September or 3rd weekend of October for me to attend. Whatever you guys and Alex decide is fine with me. I will be calling Heart of Dixie tomorrow to see what dates would work for them.

The date has not been set guys. We were tossing ideas around and after speaking with a few other shops looks like late Sept might be a better choice to avoid conflict with other rally's.
Guys this is not going to be 10 dudes in a parking lot. Far from it! Please stop implying that because what you are doing is discouraging folks from attending. I've spoken with two shops that plan to support and bring their show bikes. We also plan to have a Term Lab at the event so guys can run their bikes thru the a real meter. We would have a social on Friday night as the meet and greet, then an audio day at a dealership. The afternoon would consist of a ride and reserving a bar that would host us at a discounted drinks and food prices. I've shot some emails out to vendors and possible sponsors. If we get enough we'll have cash prizes or audio equipment to the winners. Like I said the goal is to make it this a fun event full of bike audio and NOT just ten dudes in a parking lot.

I like it. If guys can't make it there's always next year. I'll have a chat with Alex and see what he's thinking. I do know we need at least 30 guys to make it worthwhile. If we can't get 30 committed guys to support the piece. We'll do it next year. This bike audio ain't going anywhere for a long time! No worries Bagger!
Post up the dates and location and it makes this pretty straight forward from that point on. I'm the master of finding really really cold beer so not a concern there. A parking lot is a parking lot.
Depending on where it is Sept 30th weekend might work for me. Still waiting to see if the Northern Midwest meet and greet will happen, only enough vacation for one of the other if it's on one of my weekends off.
My thought would be to have the meet up somewhere with great riding! The first choice would be Colorado, Estes Park or Durango, the riding there if you haven't been there would blow your mind, probably have to be done before mid september gets chilly quick in the Mts. Second choice would be in the Smoky Mts in Gatlinburg or Maggie Valley (wheels thru time bike museum)! I would also think about NOT doing it during a rally, where crowds, plus expensive rooms are hard to book! Earlier you mentioned Atlanta where you are gonns be for a sound off..when was that! My $.02. All dates would then be open! Great riding and great company would be all I need for a great time!
If we did Estes Park I guarantee I can get my wife to come along. She surprised me last year with a week long trip to Estes Park and wow is that area beautiful.
