So I went through the update, and all was good. Prompted to remove the USB and the system restarted. Now the whole thing is locked on the initial screen (with the shield and clock displayed). The hand controls will not pull the home screen up, the buttons dont work on the boom. I powered down, and back up. Also let it sit for 15 minutes, same result. WTF!

 

Pull the 50a breaker for a couple mins. Possibly even pull the batter lead off.

Pulled the 50, no dice.

Very strange. After I pulled the 50, the system was still locked up. I fired her up, still locked up, pressed the mute button and the radio came on. The home switch on the hand control isnt working. I am trying to re-install the update and we will see what happens. Coming from my SYNC system in my car, this BOOM system could use some TLC to say the least. HD should listen to the Ford developers (all the SYNC issues when it was rolled out) and fix this asap.

The second update was successful and all is working properly.
