The short answer is you will get better sound from an 8 than you will 6x9. Now is an 8 necessary, no. Depending on your fairing setup you could easily get by without a horn/tweeter in the lids with something like a pro audio 8 or DD VO6x9.

So ten out of ten posts that you've madehave been about you "beta testing" your Rockford lids. Obviously you work for the company. If this is all you've got for contributions to the audio section, let me be the first to tell you that it's already getting old. If you've got something more than promoting a product for a company you work for, welcome aboard.

You know Chris I was thinking the same thing in the last day or so when I saw the member post about bata testing the system he has constantly refers to.

Grant it I am not on here posting as much as some about different set ups or I tried this and it sounded great or tried this product and it sucked. For one I have very limited free time lately to be trying new/different combos as I have in the past.
I have parts coming for the next step on my system but finding the time to install before winter hits so I can enjoy it has a slim chance but there is a chance

But I will put my .02 in were I feel I can and not repeat the same thing on 5 different threads.
I made a couple out of the box contributions in the past for low budget work a rounds.

Ok sorry I got off subject and started to ramble so I'm out on this thread for now

He's over on the roadglide forum posting the same crap. He's also an employee of Fosgate so his opinions will be slightly biased. LOL

They do look awesome! They have a 6x9 adapter now. I'm actually running 6.5s in my lids right now.

Hey all,

Yes, l do work for Rockford, so I my opinion may be biased, but l have not lied about that, I even use one of their pics as my Sig.
I am new on the forums, & yes, I jumped into the audio first. I have opinions & questions in many other areas as well, & as l navigate through the site, l will post & ask them.
All l am doing here, as everyone else, is letting people with questions know what l am running, & letting them know these are out there. I have not downplayed any other brand, nor would I. Everybody has their own ear, & type of music to listen to, & can make their own decisions with a little research.

I do understand that being newon here, it could seem off guard, but it is not my intention to push/peddle product, just raise awareness.

Thanks

Being new doesn't raise flags, talking about how great a product is without first letting people know or identifying you work for that company is the issue.

The more the merrier but I think this section of the forum is a slippery slope for anyone in the audio business or with direct ties to an audio business. It's simply not intended for any aspect of "sales, solicitation, or promotion" of specific product or business. Product or technical support is a different story.
A fairly blurry line at times but understanding the intent of the forum is key.
Welcome to the forum brotha, but please just understand that this is a bunch of dudes chatting up audio with absolutely no direct ties to associated business entities. Also keep in mind that since the cat is out of the bag, u are basically representing RF, directly or indirectly, thus I would be careful about how your corporation would perceive your nomad commentary within the social media world.

Just sayin!!!
