I'm able to view (and listen to) the video just fine. Hard to tell much difference between the two. Your cell phone is probably adjusting the audio gain automatically between the two speakers so they seem to be outputting at the same volume level. I have the Pioneer Pro's in my lids now. Just received the Polk MM692's today. I definitely like how light they are, and being virtually weather proof is a big plus. I'm actually not a big fan of the Pioneers with my current set-up. The tweeters/horns are over-powering in my opinion. I also have a set of DD VO-M6x9's that might actually be the best sounding between the three sets of speakers. But if the Polks are anywhere near the sound of the VO's I'll probably go with the Polks for the light weight and small magnet. The Pioneers and the VO's have huge magnets that stick down inside the bags pretty far and they weigh a ton.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Even going from stereo to the left or right channel you couldn't tell too much of the difference, but the Pioneer is definitly louder while the Polk has better SQ.

Yes, definately that is the case. I would say that the 70% of the Pionneers loudness comes from the horns. If you disconect the horns electrically and do the same with the PolKs and compare them, I'm pretty sure the Pioneers won't be the loudest one.

Did you test the VO-M6x9s yet?
Are they as loud as the Pioneers?
I have the Db692's now, and they sound great. The frequency response and sensitivity are even better in the mm's. But, all things being equal, I'm going to get the mm's for weight and space reduction. They also seem to have a much higher quality construction.
