Anyone had any issues with these units being faulty from the beginning?
I just installed a Sony XAV-100 head unit with the scoshe kit, got everything working except the hand controls will not read. Tried using the head unit to program them but nothing seems to be reading on either side.
Tired of waiting for Biketronics to put info on their website on the new radio (they said call in, really it's not hard to put up the info) so I've been looking around and found this; http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-17-HARL...tZV0Pu&vxp=mtr
Exact kit I bought. There's a video on YouTube that was pretty helpful on the install but I am thinking my little grey box for hand controls is faulty. I'm going to call scoshe today and see what they say.
I called Scosche when I bought my hdswc1 and the wire colors were wrong in there directions. They were actually very helpful, with little to no on hold time. Give them a call.
Ive been trying to get an answer to the following:
Will this head unit allow you to connect via bluetooth to a headset (say a Sena S20) while the phone is plugged in via USB in apple play / android play... So you could use your SENA to communicate to SIRI via the bluetooth microphone ? Listen to sound through the SENA Speakers, rather than the bikes speakers ? Make phone calls, send texts via voice on the SENA, etc.... It looks like it has all the bluetooth protocols, but not sure if it can use them simultaneously when connected via USB
Spoke with Scosche today and they are sending me a new unit to try. Customer service was great and the guy I spoke with was prettty helpful, he did have me open up the small grey box and check 4 very small switches on the board to the off position. I did have one switch in the ON position but flipping it did not fix my issues.
Will let you guys know if the new unit fixes my bar controls.

Thanks I'll check out the video, how is the fit of the face plate? I'm still looking at radio units, living in Florida I need one that will stand up to a bit of rain.
