Default Affordable stock upgrade

Not really looking to do speaker lids right now. A bit out of the budget.

My issue is I wear ear plugs when I ride, and have to crank the radio all the way up. I can usually hear it and it sounds fine, but without ear plugs, the stock speakers sound like crap.

Is there an affordable upgrade option? New speakers and amp? Recommendations?

I don't know what audio components go for these days. Cheapest quality upgrade, I guess.

The newer bikes are difficult to upgrade on a budget bro. And I suppose Harley planned it that way. First you're gonna need a set of BT line levelers to flatten out the signal from the radio. Preferably you need to remove the pods in the fairing and go with the BT speaker brackets. ($249) bucks. Get's pretty expensive real fast. The good news is you can survive without the brackets if you mount your speakers in the pods. Cheapest way to go is the Infinity Kappa 62.11i speakers and the Cerwin Vega B52 amp.

I was quoted $1169 to upgrade the speakers, do an amp, and a pair of "horn" speakers in the fairing. Thoughts?

I have this exact setup for sale in the classifieds. Except it is a B2 and not B52. Pods are included. It was a great setup (minus FM signal loss) I might should have kept it since my new setup is having a minor issue lol.

CVb52, kappa's and a BT line leveler is definitely a good upgrade from stock for about 400 bills. Another 80 to substitute kappa's for polks is even better IMO.

Gannicus, are the BT brackets necessary on a Road Glide?

BT doesn't make speaker brackets for the new RG's.
