Sounds to me you may have a loose/poor connection at the head unit. When you crank up the tunes the stereo is demanding more power hince causing it to search the for the usb as the power was shut down and turned back on.
It's most likely the HU bro. The Sony Mex M70BT is a great unit but every now and then you'll find one with quality issues and it takes some time for the issues to show up. I've had to replace a couple units for guys I did installs for doing the same thing you are describing. I'm still running mine with no issues but I've had to return a couple. Check the RCA's to the back of the unit and the rear plug for loose wires coming out of the unit. I've noticed the Blue/White wire going to the accessory power source can be an issue. If it's not getting a good connection to the little black plug the radio will cut in and out as you described. Try running your amp turn on to another source.

Thanks Gann....I checked every connection on it, all tight. What I'm gonna try next is just move RCA's to rear output instead of Front...worth a shot...thanks again for guys, very helpful!!

Hey Gann... I know you recommended another amp awhile back, but what about another HU unit if that's the culprit....Thanks...Don't mind stepping it up a few notches...lol...I do have plans on adding saddlebag speakers....eventually!

You want the Pioneer DEH-X8800BHS. This is from Crutchfield so it can be found cheaper but this is a good one if you change out the HU.
