One bonus for that idea, if it works, is that is if you go out of range, it'll easily come back once back in range whereas sometimes bluetooth can be funky.

Yes. This is your answer. Not sure how easy or reliable it is, but Sena offers this feature. It will not share the GPS audio, but it will share the music.

Look at Wet Sounds A Link. Works close to 100 feet. I use this on my boat to sync up with other boats when tied up.
