Going to throw some 6x9 speakers in the lids (yea I know the 8" would sound better but not yet a fan of that look)
Which speakers would you choose - DD VO m6x9 or Polk MM1 692's?
Going to be tied into the Focal Sport amp & DD AW 6.5/AT 28 in the fairing

What else u have back there? TP Pods?
If it's only fairing and lids ur gonna need some highs in the rear mix thus not a fan of the DD VO for that setup.
Take ur time here brother. There are lots of 6x9s that we are all missing out on so take ur time and research the hell out of this. Our focus on 6x9s on this forum has gotten pretty narrow.
I am running mille pros in the lids and they sound good. The highs are incredible but keep in mind at 60+ it will be hard to hear the bass. I think that is the case with all 6x9's. You may be able to hear them better as I am old and half def. lol I'm also going to try a set of ts6900 pros that I picked up dirt cheap just to see if this old man can hear them better.

I know everyone is focusing on 8's now in the lids, can't bring myself yet to that look yet (to each their own)
The fairing ones are my main speakers I know for highway running and have them tuned in pretty good - just looking for something that sounds good in the bags cruising at slower speeds

I had the Hertz Pros in the fairing, hated the way they took a knee at higher volume levels
Hard to believe there are some great 6.5" rounds for the fairing yet not many good 6x9's for the lids out there to pick from
Let me know what you think of the ts6900's
Thanks

I don't think u can go wrong with the Hertz, Pioneer Pro or Polk MM692. Hertz Millie will be the best sound quality and as a result more expensive.
