2015 SGS tunes
I have a 2015 SGS all stock and want to "upgrade" the stereo, want to keep the stock HU ..I need descent speakers and possible amp .dont need to rock the world but would like good sound at 60 mph, need something simple as I'm not to confident about install, plug and play..can spend about 500 bucks any suggestions would be appreciated mainly listen to fm and music from I-phone ie. Pandora and sirus

By the time you get 8 gauge power and ground, 16 gauge speaker wire, A set of RCA's and a 40 amp fuse you'll top out right at $800 bucks.
There are speakers to accommodate the pods but what you find is there are a limited amount of 6.5 speakers that actually fit the pods without modification.
IMO one of the best investments you can make for your audio on the 14 and up bikes is the BT bracket.
Yes. They are a little pricey but well worth it!

I recently installed a set on a friends 2016 flhx. I had to trim off the indexing tab on the face of the pod, then trim about 1/2 off one of the internal ribs. Also removed the tweeter grills and used hog tunes grills.
